RECESS
You did not outgrow recess. You just stopped getting one.
48 Classmates · 4 Homerooms · 1 mystery field trip. School bus included — the destination is revealed when it arrives.
Childhood reclaimed.
School is back in session. This time, recess lasts a little longer. RECESS takes the nostalgia, freedom, and friendly competition of school field day and rebuilds it as a polished social experience — for adults who are done with the same happy hour, brunch, and networking rotation.
Classmates meet at a designated departure point and board a classic yellow school bus. The transportation is part of the field trip, not just a ride to it — you'll get clues beforehand, but the destination itself is only revealed when the bus pulls up.
Come ready to play.
Everything is handled. You just have to show up.
Round-Trip Transportation
Classic yellow school bus departure and return. Part of the experience, not just a shuttle.
Nostalgic Elevated Food
Childhood favorites, grown-up quality. A meaningful vegan option is included, not an afterthought.
One Signature Drink
The Hall Pass, or Perfect Attendance if you're skipping alcohol. Additional drinks available for purchase.
Music All Afternoon
A soundtrack built for a field day that actually wants you dancing between events.
Field Day Games
Tug of War, Musical Chairs, Relay Races, Double Dutch, and more — plus casual games on the side.
Homeroom Competition
You're placed on one of four Homerooms competing for the Golden Hall Pass all afternoon.
Your destination is classified.
We're not being cagey for the sake of it — we just think a mystery field trip should actually feel like one. Before departure, you'll get everything you need to make an informed call about transportation, accessibility, medical needs, physical activity, and what to wear. The location itself stays sealed until the bus arrives.
48 Classmates. Four Homerooms. One field trip.
Every Classmate is placed on a Homeroom at check-in. Competitive, social, and yours for the whole afternoon — think four teams within the same athletic program.
Back Row Blue
Cool, confident, observant, competitive. Deep cobalt blue.
Extra Credit Gold
Driven, energetic, ambitious, competitive. Rich varsity gold.

Social, relaxed, spontaneous, fun. Bold emerald green.
Late Bell Red

Balanced competition. Genuinely fun either way.
Winning matters — but nobody's pressured to compete in everything. Jump into a Homeroom event, or hang back at a Spades table. Both are the point.

Our Promise to Every Classmate
Every Classmate deserves an intentional, memorable experience worth carrying with them long after the trip ends.
That standard shapes every detail of RECESS — the venue we chose, the Homerooms we built, the food on the table, and how we treat the people who trust Permission Slip with their Saturday.
